Baby Shower Crafts

Well i have a few girlfriends that are up the duff!! My friend is hosting a baby shower for one of them and as i know there will be a few more to follow i started looking up crafty bits to make for them!!

As i hosted a party a few years back for my friend Lydia, i know how hard it is making the right decisions for the right purchases!

So a few ideas i have found that we could potentially make on the cheap and reuse for the many more babys we will have to shower in our group!!!

Today ive been very very busy!!

My first project is this chair i got from my boss who recently passed away, it was a real run down old pine chair that has a lot of history around it. I chose to keep it as i couldnt pass it by and have found the bestest idea of restoring it!!

Ive started to decoupage the chair using lots of magazines and fashiony pictures and so far im well pleased with it - i should have practised on something first as ive thought of things now i wish id done differently!!

But hey ho it all adds character!!
Progress so far!!

Also i quickly made this photo frame using an old book, ive always wanted to do a wall with a favourite book of mine Romeo and Juliet but i havent decided which wall as of yet!!!

Heres the practice shot!!

Vintage Buttons

Ive been a very busy lady these last few weeks getting things ready for moving into a shop. It.'s actually my friends shop and she had a spare area downstairs and offered me the opportunity to fill it. Which i have!! Its very exciting and im over the moon about it all.

I started working on these little collections of buttons as i thought they were really querky and they are really old buttons so different from the cheap tack we buy nowadays.

So i plead to all those crafty pople out there to check them out and give me some feedback.

Thanks for looking.
